Kaum waren die Außentemperaturen etwas gefallen, legte das Team um Punch It! gleich noch ein paar Holzscheite nach um das Publikum für die nächste Runde heiß zu machen. Jool & Sandro Sandrino zerrockten die China Lounge und Phil D & Arrow machten den Abend mit ihren gewohnt starken Performances rund. Für alle die diesen unglaublichen Abend verpasst haben kommt hier nun schon die nächste Gelegenheit. Die Bongolovers werden antreten um sich, wie auch alle bisherigen Herausforderer, den Kampf um Hamburgs Housekrone zu stellen. Die beiden Kölner Groovemaster K. & Daniel Garcia formten im Jahre 2002 die Bongoloverz und gründeten mit Hilfe das Mutterlabel Clubstar Records ihr eigenes Label mit dem Namen Conya Records. Besonders ihre „Funky Traxx“ Serie sorgt für Furore und war regelmäßig in den Hype Charts des UK’s DJ MAG zu finden. Im Jahre 2004 kam dann der endgültige Durchbruch. Mit dem Titel „La Esperanza / Hope & Faith“ und speziell dem „Bongoloverz Guitarra Dub“ welcher auf Soulfuric Trax erschienen war. Dieser rockte auf Ibiza alles kaputt. Da lies es sich Soulfuric Labelchef Brian Tappert nicht nehmen und kreierte zusammen mit Copyrights Track „Bulo“ das Whitelabel Bootleg „Bongo da Bulo“ Dieser Track katapultierte die Bongoloverz direkt noch eine Etage höher. Auch in diesem Jahr präsentierten sich die Bongolovers mit frischen Projekten auf der WinterMusicConference und werden sicher mit ihren aufregenden Tracks Hamburgs kritisches Publikum zum beben bringen. The project Bongoloverz was founded by the Cologne DJ´s and producers Groovemaster K. & Daniel Garcia, individually known for their former productions and remixes on Work Records, Caus -N- Effect, or Clubstar Records. In Juli 2002, they decided to join their studios, together with one of Germany´s most talented multi - instrumentalist Alexander Klaus. With their successful productions, Daniel Garcia & Groovemaster K. helped to establish the label Conya Records in cooperation with Clubstar Records. Many of their records, including the pumpin´ "Funky Traxx" series on Clubstar, entered the DJ Mag UK Hype Charts. In October 2004, the Bongoloverz took the next step to reach a higher level. Featuring the vocals of Detroit native Anton „An-Tonic“ Eldridge the Bongoloverz released „The Power of Music“ on Brian Tappert´s legendary Soulfuric label. This record entered the DJ Mag UK Hype Charts on #1 and was in the playlist of almost every House DJ worldwide. Together with the latin vocalist Ursula Cuesta from Buenos Aires, the Bongoloverz released their follow up on Soulfuric Trax in Summer 2005 called „La Esperanza / Hope & Faith“. Especially the Bongoloverz Guitarra Dub did some major damage in Ibiza and was hammered by all the Top Jocks. This was the reason why Brian Tappert did a mash up with the instrumental version and the Accappella Vocals of Copyrights Hit "Bulo" by Shovell. This mash-up got A list action by some selected top jocks and caused massive reactions on the floors. It was released later on a special white label called "Bongo da Bulo". In time for the Winter Music Conference 2006 in Miami, the Bongoloverz returned to the Soulfuric fold with their new single, Spirit of House. Reuniting with former cohort An-Tonic, the Bongoloverz project a positive vibe wich reverberated well beyond WMC. Embracing the trademark Bongoloverz sound, the energized percussion and smooth keys form the basis for An-Tonic´s upfront vocals...
